That's THE question we're going to be answering in this review.
Digital Course Academy helps online business owners and entrepreneurs turn their knowledge and expertise into a digital course that will generate consistent revenue for their business.
The program provides a step-by-step strategy for the entire course creation journey — from strategy, to planning, to creation, to launching.
The core premise of Digital Course Academy is that a digital course business is the single most powerful and strategic way to make an impact in the world, while growing your income and freedom to life-changing levels.

Digital Course Academy is split into 7 training modules. Inside each module, you’ll find video trainings (also available in audio-only format), worksheets, guides and cheat sheets to help you take action and implement each step of the process.
The Modules include:
Module 1: The 7 Key Decisions
Module 2: Pre-Selling and Validating Your Course
Module 3: The Art of Outlining Your Course
Module 4: The Digital Course Academy Sales Page Blueprint
Module 5: The Profitable Webinar Presentation
Module 6: Crafting Your Email Sequences
Module 7: Recording Your Course
Digital Course Academy begins with a module all about making decisions that will set you up for a successful course launch.
By the end of Module 1, all of your essential course decisions will be made so you can focus on the smaller details that will move your business and course forward.
From choosing your course topic and type, to naming your course, to setting your launch dates - it’s all covered in Module 1.
Here’s the lesson breakdown:
My Review of Digital Course Academy Module 1
If you have an existing business and have been stuck in thinking about possibilities for your first course, I think this module is the key to moving forward.
Amy guides you through so many of the steps where many of us get hung up. Even better - she challenges you to complete all 7 of these decisions within one week - so you keep moving forward and won’t find yourself stuck in Module 1.
On the other hand, if you don’t have an existing business or are still fairly new, this module might be a little overwhelming. This is where I think the DCA community or having a course coach (more on this later on) can offer the extra support you’ll need in order to succeed with your online course.
In Module 2, Amy guides you through exercises to help you validate your course idea.
Although this might be the tough love module of Digital Course Academy, this step is essential to ensuring that the course you’re creating will sell.
Amy’s sharing the exact questions you can use to validate your course idea and create your course promise, a strategy that allows you to validate your course topic and generate revenue before you create a single lesson, and how to create a pre-launch runway for surefire success with course sales.
Here’s the lesson breakdown:
My Review of Digital Course Academy Module 2
Hands-down, I think this is one of the most valuable modules inside Digital Course Academy. After working with hundreds of course creators, I know how important it is to validate your course idea. I also know that this is a step most business owners want to skip.
No matter how much you think you know your audience, the exercises Amy guides you through in Module 2 will help you clarify your course promise and make sure you’re creating a course your audience wants to buy. Her Validation Strategy questions are spot-on; my students have been using them for YEARS to help pave the way to a best-selling online course.
I love how Amy openly shares some of her exact questions and steps to validate a course idea - making this process as painless as possible, and how she offers ideas that work at different stages of your business (so even if you have a small list, she’s got you covered).
Once you’ve validated your course idea, it’s time for Module 3 where you’ll outline your course.
Amy guides you through her signature five step “Porterfield Process” (a cousin of my Post-It Exercise process) to help you transform all of your ideas into an actionable and organized course outline.
In Module 3, you’ll go from thinking about creating a course, to having a solid plan for an irresistible course that attracts your dream students.
Here’s the lesson breakdown:
My Review of Digital Course Academy Module 3
If you’re someone who is comfortable learning information and then implementing the process, I think you’ll find everything you need to create a solid outline for your course inside Module 3.
However, in my work with students, this is where I see a lot of course creators get stuck - worrying that they’re including too much or not enough content.
Many times we’re so immersed in our work that it’s hard to see the content from the perspective of our ideal students. This is where it can be so helpful to have a small community and the support of a course coach. In fact, I believe in this so strongly that as part of my bonuses for DCA, I’m offering a Course Outline audit, where I’ll personally review your course outline and send you a video of feedback, so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.
If you know you’re getting stuck in the details, this is where I’d really recommend reaching out to fellow course creators in the DCA community.
In Module 4, Amy walks you through how to create an irresistible offer (including your course and bonuses).
You’ll also learn a step-by-step process for creating your sales page (in a way that convinces your future students that this is exactly what they need) and how to set up a sales funnel that converts your fans into customers.
Here’s the lesson breakdown:
My Review of Digital Course Academy Module 4
If you’re brand new to creating courses or sales pages, Module 4 is going to save you SO much time and frustration.
Through Digital Course Academy, you’ll start with a clear advantage, as you’ll have a proven framework for a sales page that converts. Even if you’ve created a sales page or two, it’s likely that Module 4 includes some new tips to help you take your sales page to the next level.
At the same time, while a sales page that converts is essential to success with your course launch, there are so many factors that can impact your sales. While Amy gets more into marketing in later modules, it’s critical that you have a solid marketing plan along with a sales page that converts, in order to succeed with your course launch.
Once you have a sales page, you’ll need a way to bring people to your sales page so they can buy your course.
Amy is covering this and more in Module 5, which is focused on helping you plan and create a profitable webinar that sells your course.
From designing your webinar registration page and boosting sign-ups, to outlining and delivering webinars that lead to raving testimonials, you’ll leave Module 5 with a solid plan for how to use webinars or masterclasses to sell your course.
Here’s the lesson breakdown:
My Review of Digital Course Academy Module 5
Amy is the queen of webinars, taking webinars and masterclasses to a whole new level. When I teach webinars to my own students and done-for-you clients, I use Amy's model. If you want to learn how to use webinars to sell your course, this module overdelivers.
If you’ve never considered hosting a webinar or if you aren’t sure if this strategy is right for you, Amy does an outstanding job of taking the fear out of webinars and making it do-able for anyone.
That being said, part of what I love about working with students is that we can create a sales strategy that works for you. You know I don’t believe in a one-size-fits all approach to course creation, and that applies to how you market and sell your course as well. Digital Course Academy does an incredible job of teaching you how to sell through webinars, but if you’re looking for another strategy, you’ll need some extra support (I’ve got you covered).
Between your course launch and delivering your course, there are quite a few emails you’ll need to write.
Whether or not you consider yourself a writer, Amy’s got you covered.
In Module 6, Amy’s guiding you through her process for writing emails that resonate with your ideal students and help them to take the next step. Plus, she’s sharing tips on timing and sequencing so you know exactly how many emails to send and when.
Here’s the lesson breakdown:
My Review of Digital Course Academy Module 6
Module 6 is incredibly valuable, especially if you’ve never launched before.
There are so many moving pieces to successfully launching and delivering a course, and the lessons in Module 6 will help to ease your stress, because you’ll have a solid plan for promoting your webinar, selling your course, and onboarding new students through email marketing.
This module alone will save you time and frustration, because it takes the guesswork out of what to send your audience and when, so you can move forward with a solid plan.
By the time you reach Module 7, you’ll have everything you need to create and sell your course, except for the course content itself.
Module 7 is all about overcoming the fears and mistakes that hold many course creators back. In this module, Amy’s sharing her best tips for teaching and recording your content to create a standout course that students rave about.
Here’s the lesson breakdown:
My Review of Digital Course Academy Module 7
Overall, I think Module 7 is a solid foundation to help you get started with recording and delivering your course. Amy is an incredible teacher, so if you haven’t taught before, you’re learning from a true expert.
At the same time, I know that a lot of course creators get stuck with some of the technology involved in delivering their course content. Module 7 does include some tech tutorials, but if you’re brand new to many of these programs, I’d highly recommend reaching out for some extra help.

If video is included in your course or marketing (and it should be) this is a can’t-miss training.

However, many business owners simply don’t have the time to learn how to set up ads that convert. I love how Amy is including this bonus for those who pay in full, sharing the ads strategy she uses to fill her webinars.
If you have a solid business and are ready to leverage your time and expertise through a course, I would absolutely recommend Digital Course Academy.
